Learn what it takes to be a successful photographer by spending two days improving your photography skills and exploring Helena's famous landmarks. The first day will be spent learning how to better operate your equipment, studying lighting & composition, and training your eye for better images. The day will conclude with an outdoor photo-shoot at one of Helena's famous landmarks. The second day will be spent critiquing the previous day's photographs and studying more composition and lighting techniques. Afterwards, the class will spend the day exploring Helena's western architecture and gold rush past, capturing a piece of one of Montana's historic cities. This workshop is designed for all levels of ability from beginner to advanced amateur. The only required items for this workshop is your camera. A tripod is also strongly recommended.

Rocky Mountain Front, Montana June 11-13, 2010 |

Explore one of Montana's hidden treasures in this two day outdoor photography workshop. Our base camp for this workshop will be in Choteau, Montana (52 Miles from Great Falls, MT). We will spend both days exploring the majestic landscape of the "Front" from it's beautiful rivers and lush vegetation to it's mammoth mountain range that rises up from the plains. This area is not only known for it's sweeping landscapes, but it also holds some of the largest herds of big game wildlife in the United States. It has the second largest Elk and largest Big Horn Sheep Herd in the lower 48. As with all of our workshops, this is open to all levels of ability, from beginner to advanced amateur. This workshop will focus on landscape and wildlife photography and will teach you the essential techniques to becoming a better outdoor photographer.With all of our workshops, we keep the group size small to devote one-on-one time with each of the students. Glacier National Park July 8-11, 2010 |

Glacier, "Crown of the Continent". Experience one of the most scenic and amazing National Parks in the country. Unforgettable mountains rising above blankets of wildlfowers and waterfalls, wandering grizzly bears, sweeping landscapes. Offering some of the best Montana photography, Glacier is truly an unforgettable experience. We will spend four days exploring some of the top photography locations on and off the beaten path within the park. Each day we'll take you to new locations that will expand and inspire your creativity. Glacier offers many diverse photography situations that will teach you compostion and lighting techniques, and will improve your technical abilities as a photographer. July is also one of the most spectacular times in Glacier as the wildflowers are at their peak. This workshop is open to all levels of ability, from beginner to advanced amateurs. The group sizes are always kept small, offering you one-on-one instruction and a much more productive workshop. This workshop will run Thursday evening through Sunday afternoon and will be based out of the town of St. Mary on the east side of Glacier National Park. Seeley-Swan Valley October 22-24, 2010 |

Take a trip through one of the most picturesque valleys in western Montana. At the peak of the fall season, the Seeley-Swan Valley is truly a sight to behold. It's brilliant Tamarack trees and snow capped mountains make this a must see for photographers in the fall. We will explore the many lakes throughout the valley, take a trip to boundry of the Bob Marshall Wilderness and explore the local waterfalls that make the Seeley-Swan Valley such a gem to Montana. This is a two day workshop and will be a small group size. It is open to all levels of ability from beginner to advanced amateur. The workhshop will be based out of the town of Seeley Lake and will run from Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Please contact for inteneray and more details.

All of the workshops are designed to give you the best possible learning experience and enjoyment out in the field. Given each workshop's different location, it's best to inquire regarding equipment and clothing for the time of year and location. Workshop Fee's do not include lodging, transportation or meals. We do provide snacks and drinks on each trip as well as limited transportation on location. Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given prior to 30 days before the date of the photography workshop. After thirty days, a 50% refund will be given. I have been teaching classes and workshops in Montana now for some years and I not only enjoy sharing my passion for my home state, but nothing brings me more pleasure than taking along others to experience some of my favorite stomping grounds.
